I dont want FOP goddamnit, im a dapper dan man
So, i was suppose to write a review of Oil can grooming´s new Angels share beard oil, but during this weekend i was walking by my old barbershop and randomly met the owner of beardpeople.se Marc Lecter, who is also the distributor of both Oil can grooming and Dapper dan.
However, during our conversation he say´s that dapper dan has a new interesting wax.
So the review for today will be Dapper Dan Heavy hold pomade (oil based, water soluable). Dapper dan is one of my personal favourite brand, not only for it´s products but an excellent background story about it.
When i first heard about Dapper Dan, the whole name just shouts "classy, oldschool", looking at the containers they look "oldschool". Then there´s the story about the brand, and it is here it gets interesting.
If one looks really close into the specifics of the movie O brother, where art thou, you would see that George clooney carries around a pomade called "Dapper dan". However, this brand did not exist, it was just a mock up name for a pomade that he was using. But the founder of the brand today hatched an awesome idea, they build up the story about how the brand once use to exist but dissapeared for different reasons, but they started it again. In the movie, the logotype looks different but the name is the same. I find this business idea to be awesome, and it´s kind of wierd that nobody seemed to be doing the researched about this before.

If you are one of those who likes a wet look, but being able to restyle your hair during the day with a comb or brush, this product suits you.
Welcome a new era of Pompadours, sleek business look or just casual, it goes with anything really, but i would highly recommend it for the pomps and sleek looks.
Normally the oiled based high hold pomades are like glue in your hair and it´s like the old days of using DAX, but here´s something new..
An oiled based pomade which rinses out with water. I´ve used a dussin of different oiled based pomades throughout my career, but they all stay in my hair forever, even after 2-3 washes with shampoo i can still feel the wax.
I tried this one out today to create a sleek business look, combed up a high front and pushed it back, the wax was easily applied in the hair because of it´s creamy texture.
It rinses out with ONLY water! that´s truly amazing for me, because i really love that sleek look and my hair is stubborn to get in place.
Let´s not forget to talk about the scent, it´s a fresh and sweet parfume scent, you can find a hint of vanilla and i think there´s a little hint of liqurice aswell, it´s perfectly balanced.
I would not recommend this product for someone who has thinner hair, because it capsulates the hair and it could look even thinner, but someone who has a fuller hair it´s perfect.
